Billie Atamer

Former New York resident, currently resides in Vero Beach, Florida. With extensive writing experience—such as for United Artist Cable Television and writer/producer of both The Sunny Side of the Rainbow with Miss Billie and The Promise Tree with Miss Billie. Her latest book, A Christmas Party for Santa, was published in August of this year. Mrs. Atamer’s book, Banjo Billy and the Rive Rat Kid’s was nominated for the Moonbeam Book Award. She has also worked with many great artist, such as Jane Hansen (the wife of the late Jim Hansen) and David Hagberg (author of By Dawn’s Early Light and seventy-three other titles). Known on stage and screen as “Miss Billie,” she appeared on national television promoting her books, Cindy Lou’s Very Special Christmas Tree, and What’s an Easter?” She attended The Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio where she majored in drama and music and taught creative drama in Armonk, N.Y. Mrs. Atamer was in Sumer Stock in the Mesker Civic Opera Company and also The Cox Theater in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the author of fifteen children’s books. Mrs. Atamer founded, Tarra, The Community Theater in Izmir Turkey, where she lived for six years. Now living is Vero Beach Florida she is the founder of The Doctor’s Club and author of fifteen children’s books. She is a member of Word Weavers, Christian Writers, Covington’s Professionals and The Lagoon Writers League of South Florida.

Andy's Journey to the Rainbow

Andy, learns of a great flood that is coming soon. But, he is unable to convince his family, so he takes his friend Lilly and runs to the big boat that Noah and his family built.  They watched as  animals two by two entered the boat. Just then, two big hands swoop  Andy and Kitty up. Then Noah spoke, "God said creatures large and small, and you my little red ants are pretty small."  He put them in a brown jug with a crack down the front, and placed them in the window of the boat.  Suddenly a clap of thunder sounded through out the boat,  a silver flash of lightning zigzagged through the dark sky. Noah  closed the widow and doors and set off on the most dangerous journey of their lives.
