SITIO EN ESPAÑOL
Kim became aware of her love of children and all things about children when she first taught Sunday school as a teenager. She and her husband of 31 years live in Mentor, Ohio now but raised their boys in Memphis, Tennessee. Kim says that raising three boys and the various critters that naturally go along with raising boys was her inspiration for writing children's books. Her inspiration for "Tummy Turner" the first book in the series, came to her one day while driving her boys to school. On the rural roads, they frequently saw different types of large farm equipment and the boys would ask her what they were. So began her investigation of rural farm equipment and the “Mid South Monsters Series” was born.
“Tummy Turner,” the first book in the series entitled, “Mid South Monsters” came to the author one day while driving her boys to school. On the rural roads, they frequently saw different types of large equipment lumbering along. The boys would ask anxiously what they were. Part of the fun of being a child is to imagine things as they could be not as they actually are. I hope the reader has as much fun getting to know these monsters as I did creating them.
