A native to New England, Cara is a wife and mother of five beautiful gifts from God. She is currently homeschooling four of them, which makes it challenging to find the time to write. Her burden is to create wholesome reading material for children of all ages, which is exciting, builds character, and encourages their love and trust in God.
During a storm on the Atlantic, disaster strikes a group of children which separates them from their guardian, Mr. Carver. Desperate and alone, the eleven orphans discover an old, abandoned castle and make it their home, but questions remain at the forefront as they encounter many twists and turns: did the Haven survive the fire? Who was Mordecai and where did he hide the treasure? Will they outsmart the pirates from the Jellyfish? Will they ever see Mr. Carver again? Follow them through their journey as they discover that God is in control and learn how to trust Him in everything. However, will they remain faithful as they battle the overwhelming odds that ultimately lead to the biggest surprise of all?
