Elizabeth Duncan Stretar
Elizabeth Duncan Stretar, graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary, is a wife, mother of eight, and grandmother of sixteen (by mid 2017). She is also a flight attendant who writes on the fly and blogs on a wide range of topics at Elizabeth Duncan Stretar - Above & Beyond Mid-life. The author spent the majority of her professional career in the non-profit sector working primarily with teenage mothers through YoungLives; an outreach program of Young Life. She was the first YoungLives National Director responsible for laying the groundwork for the teen mom initiative that today, reaches teen moms world-wide. In 2008, she and husband Frank co-founded the non-profit organization LeaderWithin. Acorn Gert and Brother Bert is her first published book. The author’s ultimate goal of this book is to plant potential seeds in the heart and mind of young readers so that they are able to grow in their understanding of their own unique potential.
Proceeds from this book will be used to support the ongoing work of LeaderWithin, which exists to help others discover more of who they are, where they are, and what they can become. Website
