Kenny was born in 1957 in the Finger Lakes City of Ithaca, New York. He met his best friend there, his brother Rocky, who he followed to Fort Myers, Florida in 1979 and where he enjoyed a 30 year career in real estate redevelopment.
Kenny has three remarkable daughters, Ashley, Lyndsey Grace and Chloe and a grand son to brag about. The death of Lyndsey Grace at 22 from diabetes complications has forever changed his life and given him inspiration to write more.
When Kenny was 12 his step Dad, Ernie, gave him the poem, Invictus as a creed to live by. Kenny found strength in the poem’s words and it sparked his passion for writing poetry. It would be Kenny´s fondest desire that his poems encourage others to take some time and write a rhyme. Website

Rich Follett, Readers’ Favorite You’re a CrocaGator by Kenny Rager is one of the most delightful, socially relevant, and timely children’s tales imaginable. On its pages (beautifully illustrated by Patti Brassard Jefferson), Rager tackles the hot-button issue of the mixed family with humor, charm, and no small amount of tact. When Crocasonny and Gatorsissy fall in love, they must navigate the social mine field of intolerance that all mixed family relationships must weather in a narrow-minded society. Along the way, they learn to celebrate their strengths and shared values, and help others learn to look past their differences.
