Laura works as a medical coding and reimbursement specialist in Northern Minnesota. She spent her youth on a small dairy farm in Northeast Minnesota. She was married two weeks after her high school graduation. Three years and two children later, she was facing divorce and single parenthood. She moved to a college town in north central MN where she hoped to earn a degree and make a life for her and her two young daughters. There she met and married the love of her life. Together they embarked on a life together as a ready-made family facing all the challenges that comes with it. They had no idea that the life experiences they walked through early on and one life altering event would prepare them for the ultimate challenge, the possible death of their daughter.

Smith writes her story as if she is sharing with you, the reader. What she shares may be similar to parts of your own life, similar to people you love. You know, many writers have said that a book was given to them by God. When I worked at a Christian Publishing Company, I learned that this was often said as books were submitted. But Laura was keeping the power and glory of her story as her personal secret! Isn't it wonderful when there is personal communication with your Heavenly Father? But Laura found out differently what she was supposed to do...Read Laura Smith's story! Renew your spirit! Rejoice and give thanks...

Do you believe that everything, even the most devastating things, happen for a reason? Most of us don’t unless we refocus our minds and hearts in that direction. We hate when bad things happen and we harbor negative feelings and emotions until they devastate us. Laura Smith wrote this book for anyone who has suffered any kind of loss, especially the loss of a baby through miscarriage or abortion. Laura shares her own painful journey and raw experiences, and how she found peace and healing through the grace of God. She married an abusive man, became a single parent of two girls, and suffered from depression. But, despite this, Laura soared above these difficulties by the grace of God. I absolutely loved this moving and inspiring book. I couldn’t stop reading it. The book is a wonderful testament to perseverance and hope by believing that God will right all of our wrongs and cleanse our heart. All we have to do is ask, be patient, and have faith.
