Ana Lankford is a born-and-bred Okie who has spent the majority of her life on red dirt. She is the mother of three, two sons and one daughter, and is the ’amma of one perfect little granddaughter. Ana also has a three-legged, blind pug she adores and two not-that-smart cats. Ana works in the substance-abuse recovery sector as the executive director of a private high school and recovery support program, working with teens and their families as they navigate the journey to sobriety. She loves her family, the beach, and sunshine.

This anthology is a collective work of sixteen authors who came together to share their stories about living with a skin difference, in the hopes of helping to spread awareness about port-wine stains, AVM, Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, and Moebius syndrome. After reading these riveting stories, may you all be reminded and shown that compassion and empathy for one another is truly within us.
All proceeds from this book will be donated to the Vascular Anomalies Alliance, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that helps support skin differences and other vascular anomalies and health conditions.
