April Allen is the author of the best-selling book “I Love Being Me”. She lives in the Portland, Oregon area with her blessings: her wonderful husband Brian and her beautiful and energetic daughters, Ella and Chloe. She currently works as a professor, diversity consultant, and media personality. April is passionate about teaching parents of young children and educators how to have difficult conversations about diversity and inclusion at home and at school. April holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Ethnic Studies and Political Science and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctorate from the University of California-Hastings College of the Law.
