I am Batool Kaushal from Bhopal, India. I was born with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome in Kashmir. KTS is the rarest of rare disease conditions. Having gone through so much in the last sixty-one years, I continue to be optimistic about my future health.
I have an MPhil in the philosophy of language and a teaching degree, and I worked in the public sector until I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. I am also a trained pranic healer. I am the mother of a twenty-five-year-old daughter, Tanya, who is a journalist in London. My husband is Indian Army Veteran Brigadier R. K. Kaushal.
My hobbies include swimming, golf, gardening, and cooking. My happy-go-lucky attitude keeps me going.

This anthology is a collective work of sixteen authors who came together to share their stories about living with a skin difference, in the hopes of helping to spread awareness about port-wine stains, AVM, Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, and Moebius syndrome.
