Brooke Kodish Rutledge is a special education teacher in Corning, New York. Originally from Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Brooke has had 9 years of teaching experience since graduating from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Her passion for autism began in college when learning about Temple Grandin and evidence-based practices, and it was only strengthened in Corning where she had the privilege of teaching several students on the autism spectrum who all left unique footprints on her heart. Brooke enjoys spreading awareness as well as the personal connections she forms with each of her students.

"A Rainbow Shines Through Clara" is the true story of a heartwarming connection between a teacher and a student with autism who is learning to communicate. As Clara grows and changes like a beautiful butterfly, she teaches everyone around her how to find the color in the world by leading them over the rainbow.
