Crystal Gordon is a busy mom, wife, and jill-of-all-trades. She graduated with honors from the University of New Mexico with a BA in journalism and mass media communication and an MA in elementary education. She is actively involved with a couple of communities she feels passionately about. Crystal promotes positive social change and spreads awareness for the vascular-birthmark community. She also uses her voice to speak out against the abuses occurring in the unregulated troubled-teen industry. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and trying new restaurants.

This anthology is a collective work of sixteen authors who came together to share their stories about living with a skin difference, in the hopes of helping to spread awareness about port-wine stains, AVM, Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, and Moebius syndrome. After reading these riveting stories, may you all be reminded and shown that compassion and empathy for one another is truly within us.
All proceeds from this book will be donated to the Vascular Anomalies Alliance, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that helps support skin differences and other vascular anomalies and health conditions.
