You Have a Kind Face
Reflections on a Firefighter’s Journey

You Have a Kind Face: Reflections on a Firefighter’s Journey is a collection of true, firsthand accounts of what a career in firefighting can be like. Over the course of twenty-six years in the Texas Fire Service, Joel has seen more than a few strange situations and difficult calls. From fighting fires in houses and apartments, to the extrication of a victim under a train, to struggling to save lives alone in the back of an ambulance, You Have A Kind Face takes the reader down a path most don’t travel.
