I’ve been an educator in both public and private schools in the United States and abroad for 18 years. I’ve worked in teaching and administrative positions with hundreds of students. I’m not so scary, in spite of my authoritative roles, so children tend to call me Miss Mary, and most know I love hugs. In addition to teaching children, I have mentored many teachers and supported even more parents through the joys and challenges of their children’s development. Today I own a small preschool, write children’s books, and am also in the process of developing a series of creativity workshops. Additionally, I travel as often as I can. I find exploring and navigating a new place forces me out of my comfort zone. I always meet incredible people and learn something new along the way, and I love that! This journal is a culmination of all I love about being an educator, an advocate for children, and a kid at heart myself. After all, celebrating our own creativity and using our own unique voice is a lifelong journey. Through my personal experiences, I frequently think, “Why not help our kids embark on this journey of personal expression and creativity sooner rather than later?” This is the foundation of Drip, Drop and Drizzle.

Drip, Drop and Drizzle: A Journal for Growing Your Child's Creativity
A rain shower frequently starts with a few drips and drops before becoming a drizzle. The water absorbs into the ground and creates new growth. So too, finding the confidence to create something new on a regular basis can also be a process.
Drip, Drop and Drizzle supports your children's creative expression by:
- starting with their brilliant ability to imagine and draw, then
- guiding them to write about their beautiful drawing, and finally
- prompting them to voice their valuable opinions on various topics through written expression.
So often children think they have nothing to say and nothing to write about. After going through the Drip, Drop and Drizzle process, your children will realize they have a lot to say and much to write!
