My name is Cassius D. McPherson. I write from my soul. My life has had its ups and downs. Yet with Christ, I have prevailed. I’m a recovering addict. I’ve been in treatment more than once. So recovery is not new to me. I fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom and injured during a mortar attack. I’m now a disabled vet. I’ve been writing since I could pick up a pensil. I am 51 years old, born and raised in Chicago, and now living in St Louis. My poetry is a passion filled with paragraphs of emotions, feelings and pain. When I write, I’m soul searching. It’s a gathering of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, and any other type of word meant to touch the soul, open the heart and ease the mind.
